Merry Christmas to you all.

Samburu, Kenya

Hi everyone,
Would you think such beautiful places still exist in Kenya with so much fresh air and no congestion? Well, well take a ride to Samburu land. I know this is one area known for cattle rustling and people possessing illegal arms. That is very true.I witnessed that last week as we went through our organisation to facilitate two workshops on peace building and public awareness on small arms.

This area is also endowed with a very rich National Reserve with so many beautiful wild animals in their natural habitat. WOW!!!1 The most interesting thing is that the pastoralists graze their livestock in the midst of these wild animals. They are more less like one family. It is a very interesting site to see and especially those who love nature.

But please be careful because this is an area known for banditry and cattle rustling. We hope the government will beef up the security in this area so that we can enjoy mother nature.

Have a beautiful day

Samburu

Hi everyone,
I know I have been away for too long. But don't worry. Am still breathing God's beautiful air. I have been in the North Rift carrying out workshops on peace building and Public awareness on small arms. The place is known as Samburu district. The headquarters of that district is knwn as Maralal and it is about 7 - 8 hours drive from Nairobi by public transport.

The journey is very exhausting especially from a place known as Rumuruti after Nyahururu since it is a rough road. One crosses a very vast National reserve that is endowed with so many beautiful wild animals. Despite all this beauty, the sad bit is the level of banditry and cattle rustling that occurs in this area. I thank God for His protection during that one week.Bullets and gun shots are a way of life for this area.

But the place is very very beautiful with very fascinating landscape. One would think they were in Europe for a change. There is no sign of pollution. what you see are vaast lands of wheat farms and maize plantations. It is breath taking. I only wish they would stop fighting so that they do something construtive with all the energy thay have.

My daughter with my friends

The August holidays are now over after a great 3 weeks with my daughter and several friends. We were able to explore several areas and even enjoy African cuisine.Life is too short to waste it worrying over the unknown. Make the best of each day through the help of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Thank you all for the beautiful memories.
